Synopsis

Annemarie Jacir's historical epic returns to 1936, as the Arab revolt against British Mandate rule gathers in a Palestinian village. With an ensemble including Hiam Abbass and Saleh Bakri, and restored colourised archive woven through the drama, it is a stirring account of land, resistance, and a history too often told from 1948 onwards.
